Colombo:Chris Gayle who made an unbeaten 75 to helped West Indies thrash Australia by 74 runs in the second semi-finals has apologised to the Sri Lankans fans in advance with a message that West Indies are going to beat the hosts in the final of ICC World Twenty 20.

We have got some power in our batting and the plan worked out perfectly.”
Gayle, who was not getting much of a strike throughout his innings, said, “I was not really worried about the lack of strike, Samuels and I had good communication between.”
He also congratulated Pollard for his innings, “We all know how dangerous he is. Today he showed what he is capable of. He provided the late assault that was very important. We wanted a score around 160 and the extra 40 odd runs came in very handy.”
